Our mission
Autoimmune and chronic inflammatory skin diseases, such as pemphigoid, pemphigus, lupus erythematosus and psoriasis pose a major medical burden. Our mission at LIED is to identify the genetic and molecular basis of these diseases, enabling better diagnosis and treatment for patients.
LIED is structured in 4 divisions:
1. Genetics of cutaneous inflammation (Ibrahim lab)
2. Model Systems of Inflammatory Skin Diseases (Ludwig lab)
3. Translational Research (Schmidt lab)
4. Systems Biology of Inflammatory Diseases (Busch lab)
