New RTG at the University of Lübeck
The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) funds a new Research Training Group (RTG) at the University of Lübeck. The RTG "Defining and Targeting Autoimmune Pre-Disease" (GRK 2633/1) focuses on events leading from health to benign autoimmunity and ultimately clinically manifest autoimmune disease. LIED is involved in the RTG with several projects and spokespersons are from LIED (Spokesperson: Ralf Ludwig, Deputy: Jennifer Hundt). Our mission
Autoimmune and chronic inflammatory skin diseases, such as pemphigoid, pemphigus, lupus erythematosus and psoriasis pose a major medical burden. Our mission at LIED is to identify the genetic and molecular basis of these diseases, enabling better diagnosis and treatment for patients.
LIED is structured in 4 divisions:

2. Model Systems of Inflammatory Skin Diseases (Ludwig lab)
