Dr. rer. nat. Marieke Höhn coordinates the Lübeck–Sharjah exchange program at the University of Lübeck, facilitating academic cooperation and student exchange between the partner institutions in Lübeck and Sharjah. Her work focuses on the administrative and organizational management of the dual-degree program.

She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Molecular Life Science at the University of Lübeck, completing her studies in 2012 and 2016, respectively. In 2017, she commenced her PhD at the Clinic for Dermatology, Allergy and Venereology, and in 2018 she moved to the Comprehensive Centre for Inflammatory Medicine due to a change of supervisor.

She completed her doctoral studies under the scientific supervision of Prof. Jennifer Hundt and was awarded her Dr. rer. nat. in 2020. Her doctoral thesis was entitled “Effects of UV-irradiation and diclofenac on the human epidermal detoxification system of genetically different individuals in a skin organ culture model.”
