
Baraa Al-Sheakly obtained her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at University of Sharjah in UAE-2018. In 2019 she started her master’s degree in molecular medicine and translational research at college of medicine-UOS, her research work focused on Targeting acute myeloid leukemia by dual FLT3 and CDK9 inhibition. In September 2021, Baraa joined the Ph.D. program with a full-granted scholarship in Molecular Medicine and Translational Research program. Her work is a collaboration between the rare genetic disorders and immune dysregulation group at the University of Sharjah, and LIED, University of Lübeck, in the working group of Prof. Dr. med. vet. Jennifer Hundt.
Her Ph.D. project is on studying the role of different cytokines in severe asthma.
