Jade Pastor is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Neuroscience at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University in the United States. As an undergraduate researcher in the laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience of Memory and Aging, she explores the impact of hormonal changes on cognition, physiology, and the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Jade joined the Hundt lab during summer 2023 through the DAAD RISE program. Under the guidance and mentorship of PhD candidate Sarah Stenger, she will be learning techniques such as RNA isolation, qPCR, and flow cytometry to better understand the relationship between shift work and the progression of autoimmune diseases.
